Service terms

Kern Design Studio Limited 間距設計工作室有限公司 (KDS) operates this website and client platform. Paid services require separate activation and an individual agreement. Each product records its plan, scope, quote, payment arrangement and acceptance.

Document revision: production-v1-draft-2026-10-23-r2

Effective date:

Free accounts and responsible use

Free registration does not automatically create a paid subscription or invoice. Use an accessible email address, protect your sign-in details and invite only authorised people into your business. Owner approvals and ordinary member actions are handled separately.

Upload only content you are entitled to use and provide. Do not use the platform for unlawful activity, unauthorised access or interference with other users or services.

Agree the scope before production

Each subscription covers one product. Initial development, deployment, hosting and modification allowance follow the agreed plan and scope. Domains and third-party charges are listed separately. Additional requirements, upgrades and scope changes require confirmation.

Submitting an idea or request does not itself use modification allowance. KDS defines the scope and impact; product-owner approval reserves allowance, and delivery acceptance uses it. Verified defect fixes are handled separately.

Deposit, launch balance and service start

The deposit counts toward the first period. A verified deposit starts content review; production begins after the information and scope pass that review. The deposit alone does not start subscription coverage.

After accepting delivery and requesting launch, the client pays the first-period balance and KDS arranges the release. Subscription coverage and the minimum twelve-month commitment start when that launch-balance payment is verified. Annual prepayment does not shorten the commitment. The agreed plan and invoices record the amounts and cadence.

Renewals and payment authorisation

Saving a payment method and automatic renewals require your explicit authorisation. Successful payment-method setup does not settle an invoice. The platform verifies provider results to avoid counting an invoice more than once.

An existing authorisation applies to the agreed price and cadence. Changes require further confirmation. Reminders are arranged before annual renewal on unchanged terms. Your account shows follow-up when a payment fails or requires further authentication.

Acceptance and release

A test preview, completion estimate, client acceptance and production release are separate steps. Elapsed time, preview expiry or silence does not automatically accept, charge or publish work.

The product owner must explicitly accept delivery. Release also requires the payment and delivery conditions to be met. Submit changes, defect reports and support requests through the product workspace.

Refunds, cancellation and source code

Service arrangements describe refund, cancellation, referral and source-code handover workflows. Refund approval is separate from money being returned. A cancellation request does not itself remove existing invoices or commitments.

Commercial conditions follow the agreement actually accepted by both parties for the product. This document explains platform workflows; it does not itself change existing agreements or introduce unapproved fees.
